Autumn Mini Tour
7th October 2022 – 9th October 2022
The destination for our Autumn Mini-Tour this year will be Somerset and it will include visits to the Haynes Motor Museum and Fleet Air Arm Museum.
The Haynes Motor Museum is home to the UK’s largest collection of cars and motorbikes. It features some of the very first cars invented in ‘The Dawn of Motoring’, reds around the world in the famous ‘Red Room’, and some of the most iconic Formula 1 cars in ‘Williams’ History’. There is also a café and gift shop. The museum opens at 10 am and is just 15 minutes from the hotel. We will arrange a discounted group entry fee. If you do not wish to spend the full day at the museum, the historic town of Yeovil is only 20 minutes away. In the evening, we will again have dinner in a private room at the hotel, followed by a light-hearted quiz!
The Fleet Air Arm Museum, with four exhibition halls and over ninety aircraft, is Europe’s largest naval aviation Museum. In addition to a wide range of helicopters and fixed-wing naval aircraft, the museum houses the first British Concorde, which you can go onboard. There is also the award-winning Aircraft Carrier Experience. The museum is very close to the hotel and again we will arrange a group ticket price. After our visit, we will head for home, or if anyone wishes to extend their stay, additional nights can be booked at the hotel.
